A likkle piece of this and likkle piece of that

For The Heads Who Remember – Classic PARody // Ja Rule Duets

Back in the early part of the decade now known as the noughties, Curtis Jackson was a much maligned figure on the rap scene before he even released the seminal Get Rich or Die Tryin’ LP. (Purchased for a fiver from a bre outside Stow’ Central…doing my bit for the community)  A long running (and recently reignited) beef between him and Murder Inc. most notably the cough medicine ignorant Ja Rule. It transpired very much in the public eye via “subliminal” diss records and at one stage the hyperbolic bunch thought assassinations were a hot ricochet away.

Personally…. I couldn’t give a monkeys about “Who said. He said. Feckin’ hell.He wet the Bed,Ned!” However, I recalled 50 Cent gaining the upper hand in my opinion due to his parody Ja Rule Duets mixtape series of spoken satire. The hoarseness of the latter rappers’ voice was paired with a cacophony of popular tunes at the time, and the end result transpired to suitable comic effect.
